The University of South Carolina Upstate has been recognized among the top colleges in the South, earning multiple distinctions in the U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Colleges rankings.

���������� achieved the following honors:

• No. 1 among Best Colleges for Veterans – Regional Colleges (South)
• No. 2 among Top Public Schools – Regional Colleges (South)
• No. 7 among Regional Colleges (South)
• No. 7 in Social Mobility – Regional Colleges (South)

Chancellor Bennie L. Harris, Ph.D., said the recognition highlights ����������’s mission of preparing students for successful careers and meaningful lives.

The announcement comes as ���������� continues to experience record growth. More than 6,000 students are enrolled this fall, marking a significant increase and reinforcing the university’s role as the largest regional comprehensive university in the Upstate. The growth underscores ����������’s commitment to expanding access to affordable, high-quality education for students across the state and region.

With strong enrollment and recognition for academic excellence, ���������� is strengthening its role as a driver of educational attainment and economic growth.
