Give Through Donor-Advised Funds

Recommending a grant to �� through your Donor-Advised Fund is simple!

A Donor-Advised Fund is a separately managed fund that is maintained and operated by a sponsoring public charity, such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable Fund, Vanguard Charitable, or a community foundation. It allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time. Donors can contribute to the fund as frequently as they like, and then recommend grants to their favorite charities whenever it makes sense for them.

In addition to offering ease of administration, a Donor-Advised Fund offers the opportunity to create a low-cost, flexible way to diversify your philanthropy without the expense of creating a private foundation.

A contribution of common stocks to �� is a win-win. Assuming the stock has appreciated in value:

The contributor gets to use the higher, appreciated value (not the lower purchase price) for the charitable contribution amount for tax deduction purposes.
